Craving baklava but not up for phyllo dough gymnastics? These Baklava Muffins are the perfect shortcut — fluffy, nutty, honey-kissed, and packed with the comforting spices you love.
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling after baking)
🧁 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it well.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, honey, milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix!
- In a small bowl, toss together walnuts, pistachios, almonds, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Fold the nut mixture into the batter evenly.
- Spoon the batter into your muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- While still warm, drizzle each muffin with honey for that signature baklava shine! 🍯
💡 Pro Tips
- Warm the honey before drizzling for a glossy, bakery-style finish.
- Want extra texture? Add a sprinkle of crushed nuts on top before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days — if they last that long! 😉
