Cheesy Bread Bliss in Every Bite
Warm, melty, and full of flavor — this easy cheese bread is the quick comfort food your evenings have been missing.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- ¾ cup milk (add up to 1 cup if dough is too dry)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a standard baking pan or line it with parchment for easy cleanup. 🧽 - Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. This forms the base of your quick bread. - Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, stir together the melted butter, shredded cheese, and milk until everything is evenly coated and combined. 🧈🧀🥛 - Bring It Together:
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix! The dough should be thick and shaggy, not too dry. - Bake to Perfection:
Transfer the dough to your greased pan, smoothing the top with a spatula or spoon. - Golden & Gorgeous:
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. - Serve Warm:
Let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a pat of butter, or enjoy on its own as a cheesy snack or side.
Pro Tips:
- Mix & Match Cheese: Try gouda, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack for different flavor twists.
- Add Herbs: Sprinkle in Italian seasoning, chives, or garlic powder for an herby upgrade.
- Leftover Magic: Store in an airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat in a toaster oven to bring back the crisp edges!

There’s no liquid in the recipe. Against my better judgment I made it the way you have…Nope, it was nothing but a dry pan of flour. So to keep from losing my ingredients I added milk and some water. Hopefully it’s going to be eatable.
Response from Fork And Fry
Hi Jeanette!
Thank you so much for your comment — and you’re absolutely right. I truly appreciate you pointing this out.
The original recipe was missing a crucial liquid ingredient (milk), and I’m really sorry for the confusion that caused. You made a smart call by adding milk and water to save it — that was exactly the right move.
I’ve now updated the recipe to include ¾ cup of milk so it turns out soft and delicious, just as intended.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience — it helps make the recipe better for everyone!
