Stuffed Garlic Bread Meets Philly Cheesesteak
Melty, meaty, and packed with flavor – this is not your average garlic bread.
Turn an ordinary loaf into an extraordinary dinner with this gooey, beefy, garlic-infused masterpiece. Perfect for game nights, cozy weekends, or whenever you’re craving serious comfort food.
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 large Italian bread loaf
- 450g thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 cup mixed bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 3 tbsp garlic butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prep your loaf
Slice your Italian bread lengthwise and gently hollow out the center. Leave enough bread around the edges for structure.
2. Sauté the aromatics 🧄
In a skillet over medium heat, melt garlic butter. Add onions and peppers. Cook for ~7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
3. Add the beef 🥩
Toss in the thinly sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 3–4 minutes, breaking up any large pieces.
4. Assemble the loaf
Place the hollowed bread on a foil-lined tray. Fill it evenly with the hot beef mixture. Gently press it down.
5. Top with cheese & bake 🧀
Cover with shredded provolone. Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is melty and bubbly, and the bread is crisp.
6. Rest, slice & serve 🌿
Let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley. Slice and enjoy while warm!
💡 Pro Tips
- Toast the hollowed bread for 5 mins before stuffing to avoid sogginess.
- Brush the outside of the loaf with extra garlic butter before baking for max flavor.
- Pre-make the filling 1–2 days ahead and assemble fresh!
