🛒 Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Rice:
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- ½ tsp salt
For the Creamy Sauce:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp thyme
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Season the Chicken
Rub chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. - Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 min per side until golden. Remove and set aside. - Cook the Rice
Bring broth and salt to a boil. Add rice, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15–18 min. Fluff and set aside. - Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 min. Slowly whisk in milk and broth. - Cheesy Goodness 🧀
Stir in garlic powder, thyme, cheddar, and Parmesan. Simmer 3–4 min until thick and creamy. - Smother That Chicken
Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce on top. Cover and simmer 10 min on low heat. - Serve and Savor
