Easy Parmesan Chicken Dinner

This creamy, garlicky chicken skillet is pure comfort food — perfect for a cozy date night or a no-fuss family dinner. It’s rich, flavorful, and made in one pan for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Sauce Base:

  • 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon each: onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley

Chicken & Cooking Essentials:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ cup dry white wine (see notes)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Mix the Sauce
    Combine all sauce ingredients in a large measuring cup. Set aside. Prep and measure out the rest of your ingredients now for easy cooking later!
  2. Prep the Chicken
    Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create thinner pieces. Cover with plastic wrap and pound to ½-inch thickness using a meat mallet.
  3. Season & Sear

    Add minced garlic. Cook 2–3 minutes until the wine reduces by half. Stir in butter and flour, whisking constantly to form a roux. Cook 1–2 minutes.

    Slowly stir in your premixed sauce. Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer for about 8 minutes to thicken and develop flavor.
  7. Finish It Off
    Lower the heat, stir in Parmesan a little at a time, then finish with lemon juice. Add chicken back to the pan and spoon sauce on top. Let everything simmer together for 5 more minutes.
  8. Serve & Enjoy
