Equipment

  • 1 grill or grill pan
  • 1 Mixing Bowl for corn salsa
  • 1 Knife for slicing steak

Ingredients

Steak Marinade

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Corn Salsa

  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime juiced

Wrap Assembly

  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the corn kernels, chopped cilantro, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated steak for 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • Warm the flour tortillas slightly on the grill or in a skillet to make them pliable.

Assembly

  • Lay a tortilla flat, spread a dollop of sour cream, add a few slices of grilled steak, top with corn salsa and avocado slices. Roll the tortilla tightly to form a wrap.
  • Serve the wraps immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Storage

  • Wrap any leftover wraps in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

Pro Tips: Ensure thin slicing of steak against the grain for tenderness. Ingredient Substitutions: Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a healthier option. How to Serve: Pair with a side of tortilla chips or a fresh salad. Storage & Freshness: Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the salsa and marinate the steak in advance to save time.
