Equipment

  • 1 grill or skillet for cooking the patties
  • 1 Mixing Bowl for preparing beef mixture
  • 1 Spatula for flipping patties

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onions

Sliders

  • 8 slider buns
  • 8 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and diced onions. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a small patty, about 2 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until done to your liking.
  • In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.

Assembling Sliders

  • Lightly toast the slider buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.
  • Place each cheese-covered patty on the bottom half of a bun. Top with barbecue sauce and cover with the top half of the bun.

Serving

  • Serve the sliders immediately while warm and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Storage

  • Place leftover sliders in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the patties separately.
