  • 1 Rolling Pin to shape the dough
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water

Margherita Toppings

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Mediterranean Toppings

  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives sliced
  • 1/2 cup artichoke hearts quartered
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled

Spicy Jalapeño Toppings

  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 jalapeño thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone inside if using. This helps achieve a crispy crust.
  • Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal parts. Roll each into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
  • Spread tomato sauce over the dough. Add slices of mozzarella and bake for 10-12 minutes. Top with fresh basil before serving.
  • Layer olives, artichoke hearts, and feta cheese over the dough. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  • Arrange pineapple, jalapeño slices, and red onion over the dough. Bake for 10-12 minutes and enjoy the spicy, sweet combination.
  • Slice each pizza into 8 equal slices and serve immediately. Enjoy your homemade vegetarian pizzas with your choice of side dishes and beverages.
  • Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or enjoy cold.
