Equipment

  • 1 Pizza stone preheated
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup red onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Add yeast to the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Assembling the Pizza

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F with a pizza stone inside. Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, followed by shredded chicken, red onion, and cilantro.

Baking

  • Transfer the pizza to the preheated stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Serving and Storage

  • Slice the pizza into 8 pieces and serve hot. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread.
  • Store any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
