Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked turkey, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the baking dish lightly or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey, Gruyere cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir until well incorporated.
  • Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Pinch the seams together to create a single layer.
  • Spread the turkey and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough up tightly to form a log shape. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

Baking

  • Arrange the rolls in the prepared baking dish, standing them upright.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed.

Notes

Feel free to substitute leftover chicken for turkey. Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the filling for extra nutrition. Use pre-cooked turkey or rotisserie chicken for a quicker meal. This dish tastes even better after sitting for a few minutes before serving.
