Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 pitcher large
  • 1 juicer

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4 to 6 lemons
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 to 5 cups cold water
  • ice cubes for serving

Optional Add-ins

  • fresh mint leaves
  • sparkling water

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and hull the strawberries. Slice them into halves or quarters, depending on their size. Place the strawberries in a blender with a tablespoon of sugar and blend until smooth. For a smoother texture, strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • Roll each lemon on the countertop to loosen the juice. Cut the lemons in half and use a juicer to extract the juice. Pour the lemon juice into a large pitcher, discarding any seeds.
  • Combine the strawberry puree and lemon juice in the pitcher. Add the remaining sugar and stir until dissolved. Pour in the cold water and stir well. Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more sugar or water as needed.
  • Place the lemonade in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour before serving. This helps to enhance the flavors and ensures a refreshing drink.
  • Serve the strawberry lemonade over ice in clear glasses or mason jars. Garnish with additional strawberry slices or lemon wedges if desired.
  • For an extra burst of flavor, add fresh mint leaves or replace half of the cold water with sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
  • Store any leftover lemonade in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Stir well before serving again.
  • You can prepare the strawberry puree and lemon juice a day in advance. Combine all ingredients just before serving for the freshest flavor.
