Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Wire Rack fits inside baking sheet
  • 1 Small saucepan

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings split into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or hot sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  • Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels. In a large bowl, mix the wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Place the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • While wings are baking, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, vinegar, and sriracha in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stirring until slightly thickened.
  • Remove wings from the oven and place in a large bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss until well coated.
  • Return coated wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until sauce is sticky and caramelized.

Serving

  • Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy while hot, paired with your favorite sides.

Storage

  • Allow wings to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes, uncovered, to regain crispiness.
