  • 1 Mixing Bowl large

Ingredients

Burger Patties

  • 2 lbs ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Toppings and Buns

  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Avoid pressing too hard to keep them tender.

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Avoid pressing down on the patties as they cook.
  • Optional: Place the hamburger buns on the grill for the last 2 minutes of cooking to toast them lightly.

Serving

  • Place each patty on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and extra BBQ sauce as desired.
  • Serve the burgers immediately while hot, accompanied by your favorite sides.

Storage

  • Any leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
