Small Chocolate Marshmallow Treats

Equipment

  • Heatproof bowl
  • Small saucepan
  • Spatula
  • Mini silicone molds or mini muffin pan
  • Spoon

Ingredients
  

Chocolate Base

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • salt pinch

Filling

  • 1 cup marshmallow cream
  • neutral oil or cooking spray for molds

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease mini molds or line a mini muffin pan.
  • Heat heavy cream until warm, then pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes.
  • Add vanilla and salt, then stir until smooth.
  • Spoon melted chocolate into molds and spread into a thin layer.
  • Chill briefly until slightly set, then add a small amount of marshmallow cream to each mold.
  • Cover marshmallow with remaining melted chocolate and smooth tops.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until fully set.
  • Remove treats from molds and serve chilled.

Notes

Work in small batches so the chocolate stays fluid while assembling the treats.
