Ingredients

Seafood

  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb scallops, cleaned
  • 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)

Creamy Sauce

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup seafood stock
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Topping

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Garnish (optional)

  • fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, seafood stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Whisk thoroughly until well blended.
  • Layer the shrimp, scallops, and fish fillets in the prepared baking dish. Gently pour the cream mixture over the seafood, ensuring it is well coated. Sprinkle the frozen peas on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the shredded cheddar cheese. Evenly scatter the breadcrumb mixture over the seafood and cream for a crunchy topping.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider sautéing some chopped mushrooms with the onions. Substitute your favorite seafood or use what you have on hand for a personalized twist. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes after baking for easier serving. This dish pairs wonderfully with white wine. It tastes even better the next day, making leftovers a delightful treat.
