  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips High-quality chocolate recommended.
  • 1 cup caramel bits Can substitute with homemade caramel.
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter For melting the caramel.
  • 1 tsp sea salt Adjust to taste.
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts (optional) Almonds, pecans, or peanuts work well.

  • Spread the pretzel crisps evenly over the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Making the Caramel

  • In a small saucepan, combine the caramel bits and butter. Heat over low to medium, stirring frequently until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

Combining Ingredients

  • Pour the warm caramel evenly over the pretzel layer. Use a spatula to spread it out.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pretzels and spread evenly with a spatula.
  • While the chocolate is warm, sprinkle sea salt over the top. Add optional nuts if using.

Setting and Serving

  • Allow everything to cool completely at room temperature or place in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Once set, break the bark into pieces and enjoy or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding crushed pretzels on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container for deeper flavors over time.
