Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Caramel Filling

  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: flaky sea salt for topping For a sweet and salty contrast.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the baking soda, eggs, and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop out portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each scoop. Optionally sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden.
  • Let them rest on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Once cooled slightly, create a small indentation in the center of each cookie and drizzle caramel sauce into the indentations.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. Make sure to let the cookies cool slightly before adding the caramel to prevent spreading.
