Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish greased
  • 1 Can opener
  • 1 Spatula for spreading

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cans 15 oz each sliced peaches in juice
  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter sliced

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Open the cans of peaches and drain half of the juice. Reserve the remaining juice for additional moisture in the cake.
  • Spread the sliced peaches evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the layer of peaches. Do not stir or mix.
  • Place slices of butter evenly over the surface of the cake mix. This will help create a golden, crispy topping.
  • If desired, sprinkle cinnamon and chopped pecans over the butter and cake mix for extra flavor and texture.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.

Serving

  • Allow the cobbler to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Storage

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave before serving.
