Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Skillet heavy-bottomed

Ingredients

Steak Bites

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Roasted Carrots

  • 1 lb carrots peeled and cut into sticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef cubes with olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. On a lined baking sheet, arrange the carrot sticks. Drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup, then season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized, stirring halfway through.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak bites and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Once the carrots are done, add them to the skillet with the steak bites. Toss everything together to combine the flavors before serving.

Serving

  • Transfer the maple mustard steak bites and roasted carrots to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Storage

  • Place any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat before serving.
