Equipment

  • Sheet Pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Basting Brush
  • Oven mitts

Ingredients

  • 1.5–1.75 lb skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 lime sliced into thin rounds
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 tbsp fresh lime juice from about 1 lime
  • 2–3 tbsp honey
  • 5 cloves garlic finely minced or pressed
  • 1 tsp kosher salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste
  • 2 tsp fresh parsley or cilantro finely chopped, optional garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place the salmon skin-side down. Fold foil edges up to create a shallow wall.
  • Tuck lime slices underneath the salmon for added flavor and presentation.
  • Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in lime juice, honey, and minced garlic until fully combined.
  • Pour about three-quarters of the butter mixture over the salmon. Reserve the remaining mixture for serving.
  • Season the salmon with kosher salt and black pepper.
  • Seal the foil loosely over the salmon to form a packet. Marinate for 10–15 minutes if time allows.
  • Bake for 17 minutes. Carefully open the foil to expose the salmon.
  • Broil for 5–8 minutes, or until the top is golden and slightly crisp. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Drizzle remaining butter mixture over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Veggie Add-Ins: Add thin-cut green beans or asparagus to the foil packet for a full one-pan meal.
Serving Idea: Serve over rice, couscous, mashed potatoes, or with extra lime wedges.
