Ingredients
  

Pizza Dough

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water

Pizza Sauce

  • 1 can 15 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Gourmet Toppings

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup goat cheese crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Gradually add warm water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Let rise for 1 hour.
  • In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Assembling the Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 475°F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your preferred thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone.
  • Spread the sauce evenly over the dough. Top with mozzarella, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, and olives.
  • Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Slice into 8 pieces and serve warm.

Storage

  • Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
