Equipment

  • 1 Grill preheated to medium-high
  • 4 aluminum foil sheets large
  • 1 Meat Thermometer for checking doneness

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 ounces each
  • 2 lemons thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 400°F.
  • Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season each fillet generously with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Lay out four pieces of aluminum foil. Place a salmon fillet in the center of each piece. Top with lemon slices and drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle fresh dill over the top.
  • Fold the foil over the fish, crimping the edges to seal tightly, ensuring no steam escapes during cooking.

Grilling

  • Place the foil packets on the preheated grill. Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Carefully remove the foil packets from the grill. Let them rest for a few minutes before opening to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  • Open the foil packets and transfer the salmon to plates. Drizzle with any remaining juices from the foil.

Storage

  • Keep any leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or enjoy cold in salads.
