Equipment

  • 1 Grill preheated to high heat
  • 1 resealable plastic bag
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Marinade Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey

Ribeye Steaks

  • 4 ribeye steaks about 1 inch thick

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, rosemary, thyme, and honey until well combined.
  • Place the ribeye steaks in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag, ensuring the steaks are fully submerged, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450°F to 500°F. This ensures a good sear and crust on the steaks.
  • Remove the steaks from the marinade and place them on the hot grill. Sear each side for 3-4 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking until the desired doneness is reached.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Aim for 130°F for medium-rare or adjust according to your preference.
  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  • Slice the steaks against the grain and serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy the rich flavors enhanced by the marinade.

Storage

  • Store any leftover steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.

Notes

Pro Tips: Allow the steaks to rest before slicing to lock in juices. Ingredient Substitutions: Use apple cider vinegar instead of balsamic for a sweeter note. How to Serve: Serve with grilled vegetables or mashed potatoes. Storage & Freshness: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Make-Ahead Tips: Marinate the steaks up to 24 hours in advance for best flavor.
