Ingredients
  

Chicken Patties

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Toppings and Buns

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Condiments of choice mayo, mustard, ketchup

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into patties. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to help them firm up.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembly

  • Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute.
  • Place each patty on a bun, add tomato slices, onion slices, and lettuce. Top with your choice of condiments.
