Equipment

  • 1 Baking Dish large enough to fit the rolls
  • 1 Skillet for cooking chicken
  • 1 Small saucepan
  • 2 Forks for shredding chicken

Ingredients

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Sliders Assembly

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls halved
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Let cool slightly and shred.
  • Cut Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish. Distribute shredded chicken evenly over the rolls.
  • Sprinkle parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the chicken layer.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls back on and prepare the butter glaze.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter and add garlic powder. Brush the top of the rolls with this mixture.

Cooking

  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden.

Serving

  • Allow sliders to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as a main dish or appetizer.

Storage

  • Place any leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.

Notes

Pro Tips: Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor. Don't overcook the chicken to keep it juicy. Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the garlic butter mixture. For added crunch, sprinkle some breadcrumbs on top before baking.
Ingredient Substitutions: Use whole wheat rolls for a healthier option. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Try using turkey or beef instead of chicken for a different flavor profile.
How to Serve: Serve with a side of crispy French fries or a fresh garden salad. Pair with iced tea or a light beer for a refreshing contrast.
Storage & Freshness: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispiness of the rolls.
Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the chicken and assemble the sliders a day in advance, then bake fresh for your event.
