Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Oven preheated to 400°F

Ingredients

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Parmesan Topping

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, 1 cup of grated parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
  • Using your hands, shape the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs. Place them evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it ready for baking the meatballs.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.

Parmesan Topping

  • While the meatballs are baking, mix 1/2 cup of grated parmesan with 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder in a small bowl.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven and sprinkle the parmesan topping evenly over each meatball. Return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.

Serving

  • Transfer the meatball bites to a serving platter and enjoy them warm. Pair with a dipping sauce of your choice, like marinara or ranch.

Storage

  • Place any leftover meatball bites in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 1 month.

Notes

Pro Tips: For the best results, use freshly grated parmesan cheese. Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep the meatballs tender.
Ingredient Substitutions: Ground turkey or chicken can be used as alternatives to beef. For gluten-free options, replace breadcrumbs with almond flour.
How to Serve: Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
Storage & Freshness: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare the meatballs and freeze them unbaked. Bake directly from frozen, adding an extra 5 minutes to the cooking time.
