Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet
  • 1 Mixing Bowl small
  • 1 Baking Sheet

Ingredients

Steak and Marinade

  • 1 1/2 lbs thin steak such as flank or skirt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garlic Butter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Sliders

  • 8 slider buns
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Set your oven to 350°F to preheat while preparing the other ingredients.
  • Season the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic and parsley. Stir until well mixed.

Assembling the Sliders

  • Place slider buns on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun if using. Layer with cheese slice, steak slices, and a drizzle of garlic butter. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Return the assembled sliders to the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Serving and Storage

  • Enjoy the sliders fresh from the oven while the cheese is gooey and the buns are warm.
  • Place any leftover sliders in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. To reheat, use an oven at 350°F until warmed through.
