Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each) Choose fresh, high-quality salmon for the best flavor.
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon Adds freshness and balances richness.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Optional: lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down into the skillet.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the flesh begins to turn opaque.
  • Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula and cook on the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  • Baste the salmon with the garlic butter for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Squeeze the lemon juice over the salmon.
  • Once the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, remove it from the skillet.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Pair with steamed vegetables, fluffy rice, or a simple salad. Leftovers can be stored and enjoyed in salads or sandwiches the next day.
