  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ tsp black pepper Adjust to taste.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and buttermilk. Use a whisk to blend them together until smooth, creating a creamy base for your dressing.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Whisk the ingredients together thoroughly until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer the ranch dressing into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • When ready to serve, give the dressing a good stir. If it has thickened, add a splash of buttermilk to reach your desired consistency. Garnish with chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

Store the dressing in the fridge for up to a week for optimal freshness. For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise.
