Equipment

  • 1 Crockpot
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Optional Garnishes

  • Chopped green onions
  • Crumbled blue cheese

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook and shred the chicken using your preferred method. You can boil, bake, or grill the chicken. Once cooked, shred it into small pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the mixture into your crockpot, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.

Cooking

  • Set your crockpot to low and cook the dip for 2 to 3 hours. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking and to help the cheese melt smoothly.
  • Once the dip is fully heated and the cheese is melted, switch your crockpot to the warm setting to keep the dip ready for serving.

Serving

  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish if desired. Garnish with chopped green onions or crumbled blue cheese for extra flavor. Serve with tortilla chips, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Storage

  • Place any leftover dip in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop before serving.

Pro Tips: Make sure to soften the cream cheese for easy mixing. Adjust the buffalo sauce to your desired spice level.
