Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Rotisserie chicken is recommended for convenience.
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz) Ensure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup buffalo hot sauce Adjust to your heat preference.
  • ½ cup ranch dressing Alternatively, use blue cheese dressing.

Garnish (Optional)

  • 1 cup green onions, thinly sliced For garnish, optional.
  • to taste tortilla chips For serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Transfer the mixture into the slow cooker, spreading it evenly. Cover the cooker with the lid.

Cooking

  • Cook on low heat for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the dip is heated through and the cheeses have melted into a creamy texture.
  • Once cooked, stir the dip to combine any ingredients that may have settled. If desired, sprinkle sliced green onions on top for added color and flavor.
  • Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or your favorite dippers.

Notes

For easier shredding, consider using rotisserie chicken; it adds flavor and cuts down on prep time. Feel free to adjust the heat by using mild or hot buffalo sauce. If you enjoy blue cheese, adding crumbled blue cheese will enhance the flavor profile. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated for a delicious snack or lunch the next day.
