Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Frying pan non-stick
  • 1 Sharp knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

Salmon and Marinade

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Crunchy Slaw

  • 2 cups cabbage finely sliced
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Optional Add-Ons

  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup edamame
  • 1/4 cup crushed nuts

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine the soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a mixing bowl. Add the salmon fillets and coat them thoroughly. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Drizzle with rice vinegar and sesame oil, then toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Dust the marinated salmon pieces with flour and fry until golden and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Divide the slaw among serving bowls. Top with crispy salmon bites and any optional add-ons you prefer, such as avocado or edamame.

Serving

  • Garnish with additional sesame seeds or nuts if desired. Serve immediately while the salmon is still crispy.

Storage

  • If necessary, store any leftovers in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat salmon in a pan to retain crispiness.
