Roasted Chickpeas

  • 2 cans chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly.
  • Pat the chickpeas completely dry with a towel.
  • Transfer the dried chickpeas to a mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  • Add smoked paprika, salt, and garlic powder if using.
  • Toss to distribute the seasoning evenly.
  • Spread chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Roast for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and stir chickpeas.
  • Return to oven and roast until crisp.
  • Cool completely before serving.

Drying chickpeas thoroughly is essential for crisp texture.
