Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowls for breading station
  • 1 Wire Rack for even cooking

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 8 chicken drumsticks skin-on

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Breading

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  • Rinse the chicken drumsticks under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Season the drumsticks evenly with this spice mix.

Breading

  • Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow bowls. Optionally, mix Parmesan cheese with breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
  • Dredge each drumstick first in flour, then dip into beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each drumstick is thoroughly coated.

Cooking

  • Place the coated drumsticks on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, and the outside is crispy.
  • Remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  • Serve the drumsticks hot with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw or mashed potatoes.

Storage

  • Store any leftover drumsticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
