Equipment

  • Large heavy-bottom skillet
  • Tongs
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, optional

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts evenly with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter, and allow it to melt gently.
  • Add sliced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until softened and fragrant, without browning.
  • Pour in heavy cream, stirring to release browned bits, and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  • Lower heat and stir in parmesan cheese gradually until smooth.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer briefly until warmed through.
  • Adjust seasoning as needed and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest sauce. Reheat gently over low heat to maintain texture.
