  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, drained fresh or canned
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp Old Bay seasoning or your favorite seafood seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional Ingredients

  • additional green onions or parsley for garnish optional
  • dippers like crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you wish to bake the dip.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in the crab meat, keeping some chunks for texture. Add green onions, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  • If baking, place in the oven for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly, or microwave for 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, optionally garnishing with green onions or parsley.

Serving

  • Serve warm or chilled with your choice of dippers, such as crackers or sliced vegetables.

Notes

The creamy crab dip can be made a day in advance for the flavors to meld. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
