Preparation

  • Cook the gnocchi in a large pot of boiling salted water until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  • Steam or blanch the broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • In a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic. Pulse until finely chopped. Slowly add olive oil to form a smooth pesto. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, mix cooked gnocchi, broccoli, and pesto sauce until well combined. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the gnocchi mixture.

Serving

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
