Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in orange zest and vanilla.
  • Add flour and salt and mix just until combined. Fold in cranberries.
  • Shape dough into a log, wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Slice dough into rounds, place on a lined baking sheet, and bake until lightly golden.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overbaking. Cookies should remain pale with lightly golden edges.
