Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lined with foil
  • 1 Mixing Bowl medium
  • 1 Oven preheated to 350°F

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ons

  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Barbecue sauce
  • Chopped spinach

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • If using leftover chicken, shred it using two forks. If starting fresh, cook the chicken breasts in water until fully cooked and then shred.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the chicken.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the chicken and cheese.
  • Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes before serving. This helps the cheese set and makes them easier to handle.
  • Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
