Preparation

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and set aside. Sauté onions, garlic, and bell peppers in the same skillet until softened.
  • Return the beef to the skillet, adding diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat together eggs, milk, and melted butter, then stir in grated cheddar cheese.
