  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/4 cup crumbled bacon

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  • While the dip is baking, measure out your hot honey. If desired, mix with a small amount of cayenne pepper for additional heat.
  • Once the dip is baked, remove it from the oven and immediately drizzle the hot honey over the top, allowing it to seep into the bubbling cheese.
  • Serve the hot honey chicken dip immediately with your choice of dippers such as tortilla chips, celery sticks, or sliced baguette.
  • Cool any leftovers to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in a preheated oven at 350°F until heated through, or microwave individual portions for a quick snack.
