Slider Ingredients

  • 12 pieces slider rolls
  • 12 pieces cooked meatballs You can use store-bought frozen meatballs (fully cooked) or homemade.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Melted for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (about 175°C).
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, and place the bottom halves into a baking dish.
  • Place one cooked meatball on each bottom roll.
  • Spoon about a tablespoon of marinara sauce over each meatball.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly on top of the sauce-meatball stack.
  • Place the roll tops on.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are lightly toasted.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use well-seasoned store-bought meatballs or add herbs when warming. To make ahead, assemble and refrigerate, then bake just before serving. Try different cheeses like provolone or pepper jack, and consider using toothpicks for easy serving.
