  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on)
  • 4 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup Adjust for sweetness preference.
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth and well combined.
  • Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  • Generously brush the miso mixture over the top of each salmon fillet.

Cooking

  • Place the baking sheet under the broiler and cook for 3–4 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  • Once done, the salmon should flake easily with a fork and have a glaze that is bubbly and brown at the edges.

Serving

  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired before serving.
